Dear Pastor and Church,
We bring you very sincere greetings from our part of the vineyard and trust that you are doing well by His wonderful grace. Our good Lord is doing us good.
Our annual Tribe’s Festival is here once again, and we are all preparing for the celebrations. While the Christians want to give us the Christian touch, the traditionalists also are doing it their way. It is a great period of family reunions, funeral celebrations and also time when people contract marriages. Then we have a Thursday of grand durbar when we assemble all our chiefs in their traditional regalia on a park where the paramount chief gives an annual speech and prayers are said for God to continue to bless us. Christians are encouraged to pray to Jehovah God while the nonChristians love to pour libation to their gods. I and my team endeavour to evangelize during the period. We printed tracts and started distribution. This year would not be an exception. I also earmarked one of the town centres where we started preaching every evening from Monday to Friday. We really want to sow the good seed.
Our Radio Ministry is doing real good judging from the calls we receive after every broadcast. We believe our listeners are truly getting the message. Please pray that they will have the conviction to act on God’s Word. Our main broadcasting station (four broadcasts per week and a coverage of not less than four million listeners) has finally raised his fees. He has been telling me he would do so for almost two years now. The owner of the station is a Christian man and enjoys my messages very much. He believes they are Bible truths. When he called to tell me of the change of tariff, he was almost apologetic. When he gave the new price, I told him to bring it down a bit. He asked how much I would give. I offered 40% for the next six months and a little more after that and he agreed. One other station has already gone up by 100%. We thank you our supporters for keeping us on air for our people.
We are still in the training ministry. We are presently polishing some eight leaders from five missions for ordination and organizing of the works. It has been a long trip, but the Lord has kept us at it and we are glad. They are excited and we are too.
Two of our missions in the Volta region of the country are planning a fellowship meeting for some three days in November. They have invited another Baptist church which was not started by us. The meeting will be at the end of November. I will be there. Please be praying for us.
Gloria and our girls and boys are all doing well. My health is also good, and we thank the Lord for it all. We also want to thank you for all the support and prayer you have been giving us throughout all these years. God richly bless you.
Sincerely in the Lord,
Brother Samuel, Gloria and family.
