Ansah Prayer Letter

May 1, 2024

Dear Pastor and Church,

I bring you very sincere greetings from Agona Swedru and believe that our good Lord is continuing to show His grace to you all.  We are doing well here.  The Lord is good to us.  The ministry here is going well and all the missions are doing well.

The Asafo Mission is doing well.  Growth is very slow but the Lord is blessing.  Average attendance is 20 but there are days when you could have over 30 people in attendance.  The children are about 15 average.  They meet every day at dawn for prayer and Bible exhortation before they disperse to their various work places.  Most of them are peasant farmers.  Brother Felix is their present leader since their first leader went to be with the Lord.  Brother Richard helps a lot also.  Their Ladies Fellowship leader, Sister Gifty, got married recently.  Even though the husband is not a member, she continues to attend meetings faithfully.  This mission acquired a piece of land some time ago and they have been moulding blocks with the hope of putting up a meeting place in the near future.

The Nkum Mission is also doing well.  This is a very small mission but the Lord is blessing.  This is the group whose land case is still pending a verdict at the court.  Their leader is Brother Adu.  He is a hardworking young man.  The good news is a door has opened for them to start a new work in a town just about five miles away.  There was a funeral in the town and Brother Adu was the preacher.  Souls were stirred and they invited him to start church with them.  He has started a study with them.  He goes there Sunday afternoon and Wednesday evenings.  This started just about three weeks ago.  Let us all continue to pray for this situation.

The Otuam Mission is having a lot of challenges in the absence of their leader.  He is ill and his children have taken him to Accra for treatment.  I try to fill the gap there by going there every other weekend.  This mission is in the town of my birth and I really want it to grow.

Our Radio Ministry is still ongoing and souls are being reached with the good news.  We have been hoping to get into another station some twenty miles away but we have not succeeded yet.  Our Leadership Class is on a long break but we are hoping to get back together soon.

The good news is that the Lord has given me a new wife, a fine Christian lady who has been a widow for some twenty years.  She lost her husband when she was forty.  She is very pretty and I love her.  I thank the Lord for keeping her for me.  She is called Mary Tetteh and comes from my tribe.  We are trying to forget our past, adjust and move on.

I want to express my appreciation to you my sponsoring church and all of our supporting churches for what the Lord is using you to do for me and my nation.  Your prayers and financial support have brought the good news of Jesus Christ to my part of the world.

God bless you.

Brother Ekow Ansah and Sister Mary.
