NEWSLETTER FROM BROTHER EKOW ANSAH, AGONA SWEDRU,GHANA.
Dear Pastor and church,
Our good Lord is always faithful and has continuously been blessing us. His grace and mercy has been abundant on us and we praise His holy name. Brethren, we bring you greetings.
The Asafo mission is doing well. It has not been easy for them since the call into glory of their leader, but our faithful God has been with them. They are growing and their zeal for the Lord has not diminished. We can count on thirty faithful members every Sunday. This is one group of people who meet early at dawn for a prayer time before they leave to their various working places. Brother Felix Owusu has stepped in as their leader and he is doing well. He faithfully comes to our leadership training every Saturday. He is assisted by Brother Richard. Please continue to pray for these brethren.
The Otuam mission is having some problems. Their leader has not been available for several months now due to ill health. I try to be with them as much as possible. This is a mission in my hometown and presently are meeting in my late mother’s home. They have acquired a piece of property nearby but have not developed it yet. The people here are basically fishermen and they move with the season so their number fluctuates greatly.
Our mission at Nkum is also growing albeit slowly. The most difficult time to get them at meetings is the rainy season. Some of their farming areas are a bit far from town so they go and camp there for a while before coming. But generally they are faithful. Their land issue is still pending in court so they have not been able to develop it. Their present meeting place is not very good. Brother Adu is the leader here and he is doing a good job. He has a heart for ministry. He and his family are doing well.
Our Leadership classes have been going on quite well. We try to meet every Saturday except when there is a funeral. Our funerals here are held on Fridays and Saturdays and offer great opportunities for giving out the word of God. We are presently five. Sometimes we have one or two visitors.
Our radio ministry is going on well. We have been trying to add another station but have not succeeded yet. I really enjoy the interactions with our listeners after the messages. The Lord is doing us good. Our prison ministry has been on hold for some time now. The new chaplain of the prisons does not seem to like us. I even wonder if he is saved.
I am doing well in health. It has been quite lonely since the passing of my wife. Recently my third daughter and her children have moved in with me so I now have company. The Lord is my strength.
I want to express my deep appreciation to you all for your prayers and support. The Lord has continued to use you all to help with the spread of the gospel in our part of the world. God richly bless you all.
Yours in Christ,
Brother Ekow Ansah
